Eastspring Investments has appointed Terence Lim as its chief risk officer (CRO) and Janelle Yeo as chief financial officer (CFO).
Lim, who will join the company at the end of August will also be a member of its executive management committee and report to Seck Wai-Kwong, chief executive officer. Based in Singapore, Lim will oversee compliance, risk and governance activities across the company. He brings more than 20 years of experience and was most recently the CRO for Asia-Pacific at abrdn, where he provided regional oversight and leadership for the risk and compliance function across its regional businesses.
Yeo, who has spent more than two decades in financial services and has been with Eastspring since 2008 – her last role being head of corporate strategy and M&A – will be responsible for the company’s finance and legal functions, effective immediately.
“The appointments further our progress in building a high-calibre executive team to advance our business in an exciting stage of its growth,” Seck says. “Lim comes with a strong background across Asia-Pacific markets and broad experience in both risk and compliance. And Yeo has stood out as a candidate for the CFO position, given she has worked closely with finance and legal in her previous roles and served as CFO and acting CEO for Eastspring Taiwan’s business in the past.”
Eastspring is Prudential’s investment management arm for Asia and has US$258 billion in assets under management, as of end-2021.
