The Singapore Exchange ( SGX ) has appointed Koh Boon Hwee as chairman, effective January 1 2023, when the current chair, Kwa Chong Seng, will step down.
Kwa, who was elected as chairman in 2016, was first appointed as a director to the SGX board in 2012 and served as chairman of both the nominating and governance committee, and the remuneration and staff development committee since 2013, and as lead independent director since 2013.
Koh has extensive experience serving and chairing various listed and private companies globally and in Singapore, including Agilent Technologies, DBS, Singapore Airlines, SingTel and Wuthelam Group. He is a senior corporate leader and entrepreneur with a distinguished record, SGX says.
