First Sentier Investors, a global investment manager based in Sydney, Australia, has appointed Christy Goh as head of intermediary business, Asia, and chief executive officer, Singapore. Marcus Ong has been named head of institutional business, Asia.
The appointments take effect immediately.
Based in Singapore, Goh will oversee the intermediary business and lead the team in Asia, covering the business and strategy development in both North and Southeast Asia.
She was most recently head of distribution, Southeast Asia. With more than two decades of experience in the financial industry, Goh joined First Sentier in 2006.
Ong will be leading institutional sales activities in North and Southeast Asia. He joined First Sentier as director of institutional business in 2022, bringing in more than 10 years of experience in institutional client management and expertise to the business. He is also based in Singapore.
Both Goh and Ong will report to Lauren Prendiville, managing director and head of distribution, Asia-Pacific, whose role was expanded to include leadership of the business in Australia alongside Asia in 2023.
