Knight Frank has appointed Dan Dixon as head of capital markets for Asia-Pacific, effective September 1. Based in Singapore, he will lead in connecting regional capital to cross-border investment opportunities and global capital flows.

With 10 years in Knight Frank’s London capital markets team, Dixon has advised sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, and institutional investors on major transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, and capital raising mandates.

These include advising British Land and GIC on raising approximately US$800 million of joint-venture capital for a City of London office tower development from Modon; M&G on raising approximately US$100 million of JV capital for a West End London office development from Nomura; and Magnificent Hotels/Shun Ho on the US$50 million acquisition of a hotel development.

Dixon’s appointment follows recent appointments to strengthen the firm’s Australian capital markets team, including Rob Sewell as partner, national head of institutional sales, and Michael Kwok as partner, national head of capital markets.

The regional expansion forms part of Knight Frank’s global capital markets strategy, led by Nick Braybrook, head of global capital markets, who coordinates over 250 capital markets advisers worldwide.
