Citi appoints Thailand commercial banking head

Citi has appointed Sutida Tambunlertchai as head of Citi Commercial Bank ( CCB ) in Thailand, effective immediately.

She will be responsible for delivering the growth ambitions of the bank’s commercial banking business in Thailand, deepening the client franchise and enhancing its market leadership, while maintaining a robust control and governance framework.

Sutida reports to Gunjan Kalra, head of CCB, Japan, Asia North and  Australia ( JANA ) and Asia South, with a matrix reporting line to Thailand country officer and banking head Narumon Chivangkur.

Sutida joined Citi in 2022. She brings over 15 years of international banking experience, having worked in commercial and corporate banking across Asia, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom.

She was most recently head of the commercial subsidiaries group at Citi Thailand, where she grew the business significantly over three years.

Sutida graduated with honours from Wesleyan University in the United States, with a double major in mathematics-economics and East Asian studies. She is fluent in Mandarin, Thai, and English.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, and training for Hyrox fitness competitions.
